Sepp Kuss has returned to the WorldTour for his sixth season. With seven victories under his belt, Kuss remains just as passionate about cycling as he was on his first day in the sport.
Sepp Kuss began his season at the
UAE Tour, where he spoke with Velonews and reasserted his unchanging passion for cycling. âI still love the bike. Itâs a simple sport in the end of the day. To train, you just go out on your bike and adventure around,â Kuss told VeloNews.

He further added, âThe sport was already pretty detailed and data-driven when I joined, but itâs so scientific now. But you can take parts of that which work for you and leave aside the parts you donât. The data side interests me, but I know myself and what motivates me, and thatâs riding my bike, exploring the adventure.â

His expectations for the UAE Tour are not very high, but he sees it as a stepping stone towards his ultimate objective, which is the
Tour de France. âIt was a long off-season. I didnât race after the first week of the Vuelta when I crashed, and so itâs taken make a while to get back up to speed. I just want to get a feel for being in the bunch again. The summit finishes are good for testing myself, but I donât have any expectations â Iâm just building slowly,â concluded the Jumbo Visma rider.
