Prview. Gent-Wevelgem, one of the most prestigious classics of the spring and one of the most tactical as well, takes place on the 26th of March and the women's peloton will have a difficult day on the saddle.
From Ieper to Wevelgem, the riders will have 162.5 kilometers on the bike which will make for one of the longest days of the year on the bike. It's a race that sees it's crucial section around the Kemmelberg in the final half of the race, with 7 small ascents - two of them cobbled - to create differences before the final flat 35 kilometers
