There were rumors about Miguel Angel Lopez departing Astana Qazaqstan. It was Zikloland who first reported that the Colombian rider was looking for a new team but now another media site named MundoCiclĂstico says it is not the case.
Zikloland reported that Lopez was upset with Astana Qazaqstan after they suspended him for allegedly being involved in drug trafficking. Despite the suspension being lifted later after no evidence was found, the relationship between management and the rider suffered.
MundoCiclĂstico contacted the team regarding the same and they were able to get official confirmation. âWe deny the claims that LĂłpez will no longer be part of Astana. In addition, we confirm that LĂłpez will remain with the team until the end of his contract, which runs until the end of 2023,â reported the media site.
