The 13th day of the Vuelta a Espana was a calm one for the peloton, who traveled within the interior of the country in what was a warm and windy day which culminated in an uphill sprint where Mads Pedersen took the win.
The medical report featured two riders today:
223 - Thibault Guernalec: Road rash to chin, right hip, left knee. Abandoned race.
166 - Juan Pedro López: Road rash to left shoulder and knee.

EF Education-EasyPost DS Ken Vanmarcke: Non-respect of commissaire instructions. 500CHF fine.
Astana Qazaqstan Team DS Stefano Zanini: Irregular standing feeding. 200CHF fine.
