"As a German rider, I want to be part of the biggest German team" - Nico Denz joins BORA-hansgrohe

Nico Denz has signed a contract with BORA-hansgrohe. The German rider currently is a part of Team DSM but starting in 2023, he will ride for his new team.

"I have to say: as a German rider, I want to be part of the biggest German team," Denz said. He continues, "I've been looking at BORA-hansgrohe for a while if you can put it that way, but until now the right moment hadn't come. Now it has. And I am very happy about that. I know a lot of guys and I think that's why the transition is smoother."

Denz describes his ambitions and what are his expectation from the team. "I think it's also clear that I'm not coming as a leader. But I'm sure I can strengthen the team with my qualities and experience. I think I am very versatile, and as a rider I never feel too good to do anything for the team during the race. An absolute dream for me would be to win a major stage race with the team in the coming years,” concluded Denz.
